Setlist :
__________

1 - That Was Just Your Life
2 - The End of the Line
3 - The Four Hoursemen
4 - The Shortest Straw
5 - One
6 - Broken, Beat & Scarred
7 - My Apocalypse
8 - Sad But True
9 - Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
10 - The Judas Kiss
11 - The Day That Never Comes
12 - Master of Puppets
13 - Battery
14 - Nothing Else Matters
15 - Enter Sandman
16 - Killing Time
17 - Whiplash
18 - Seek & Destroy

Metallica sort ce DVD "Made in Québec" et comme James Hetfield dit "Québec you kick ass!"

DVD 2 - Bonus et prestation
_____________________________

1 - For Whom the Bell Tolls
2 - Holier Than Thou
3 - Cyanide
4 - Turn the Page
5 - All Nightmare Long
6 - Damage Inc.
7 - Breadfan
8 - Phantom Lord

Review DVD

(Version francais en haut)

Metallica - Quebec Magnetic 2009

Some of you say, another DVD of Metallica, but the peculiarity of it is that it was filmed entirely at the Pepsi Coliseum in Québec on 31 October and 1 November 2009.

An honor done to the "fans" of Metallica Quebec, but also to those of Quebec in general. By cons, my first disappointment just when to take possession of this package include 2 DVDs, cardboard packaging lacks a cover worthy of the name, one photo with the M of Metallica and James Hetfield top coverage and 3 other members photograph inside, no booklet is included for photos or any other information on the concert, but do not throw the stone immediately, because knowing Metallica, contained in the two discs could surprise.

DVD 1 contains the concert and the 2nd contains other pieces filmed during the two days that are the main point on the DVD. You will find pictures of Quebec, "fans" themselves and Metallica offstage.

DVD 1 - The Concert
___________________

Contains the main disc 18 tracks from the Death Magnetic as well as oldest songs, in my opinion an excellent selection despite the fact that it might well be even more songs from Metallica expanded.

12 - Master of Puppets
13 - Battery
14 - Nothing Else Matters
15 - Enter Sandman
16 - Killing Time
17 - Whiplash
18 - Seek & Destroy

The DVD begins with the traditional intro western, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, while showing us pictures of Quebec, it may be, the Château Frontenac, the Porte St-Jean or the lower town instead of the traditional Enricco Moricone film, an honor for the city of Quebec who is setting values ??beyond borders Québecoise. Music side, honor back to "That Was Just Your Life" to open hostilities on a visual background very dark and full of laser, which can be unusual for the group in concert. Always with a central stage, lighting supports shaped coffin at the option of moving songs, from the second song, the lighting becomes more visible in the image of what we are accustomed to Metallica while for the group have an excellent interaction with the public, James Hetfield has the Quebec public in his pocket.

Musically, the show has a very good mix of old and new parts. Flames during "One", the lighting is superb and reflects as on the stage to the rectangular shape, but also central to "The Judas Kiss". Kirk Hammett surprises us with a transparent guitar, decorated with two tubular end without sleeve, welcome to the future.

A very energetic and powerful concert from the "four horsmen" lighting worthy of a good concert, the crowd was conquered from the Pepsi Coliseum and participates thoroughly to deluge of "hits" that Metallica takes pleasure to play . Almost all of the band's albums are put to use, either "Kill 'em All - Ride the Lightning - ... And Justice for All - Death Magnetic" and not forgetting the classic is the "Black Album", the notes of "Enter Sandman" begins and announces the imminent end of the concert, once again, the flames are part of this song for a long time and will continue to do its effect. After a slight pause and a little walkabout, the group gives to its public.

As a reminder, Metallica used to come back with a recovery this time it is a classic "Sweet Savage" the song "Killing Time" and they finish the concert with two classics that are essential "Whiplash and Seek & Destroy. " The members present on stage with masks due to the fact that am Halloween night. After about two hours and dust, "Four Horsmen" gave a concert that Quebec will soon forget.

Visual side nothing wrong, the band respect his habits, even for the next delivery and choice of songs, the sound, it is impeccable, but the group says, no "Overdub" would have been used for this service DVD in my opinion it is permissible to have doubts, because this concert was shot on two different dates and the sound is the same everywhere, but hey, the important thing is that his spit in our audio speaker. A beautiful keepsake for the people there and a great honor done to the people of Quebec and everyone in the province

Metallica released the DVD "Made in Quebec" and as James Hetfield said "Quebec you kick ass!"

DVD 2 - Bonus and benefits
_____________________________

For the second DVD, there are two options, the songs were not selected for the main concert, but were still played on both nights of the tour. To the side of "Quebec CIty Love letter" the group share his love for Quebec, unfortunately the version I received, the French subtitles are not present, but when the "fans" speak French, automatically there are English subtitles. The group Loves for Quebec and Quebec City in particular is obvious, but this love is broadcast with a video barely five minutes. A chance that they are the bonus tracks, which are of equal quality to the main DVD.

On both DVD sound options are: Stereo - 5.1 and DTS 5.1. By cons, if we put aside the live performance that is impeccable, the bonus DVD does not offer much to these "fans" unfortunately. But if there is one thing to remember is that this DVD release is a wonderful keepsake for the "fans" of Metallica Quebec, I think if you compare the outputs Metalica earlier, they could have done better. Overall, this is still good for amateur unconditional "Four Horsmen" and a window that has no price for Quebec City and Quebec as a whole on the international level.

My Rating: 7/10
