Mass Murder Messiah with Dark Century, Canceric and Chariots of the Gods show

For those who didn't know, Jaune Prodz organizes metal evenings every month with local bands. On Friday, October 9, the Montrealer band Mass Murder Massiah was doing his album launch and for the occasion, excellent groups were also present. Dark Century, Canceric and Chariots of the Gods came launched their rage before the entry on stage of Mass Murder Messiah.

There was a good crowd for Chariots of the Gods band. This group from the Ottawa-Gatineau region began the evening with strength. The band announced the day before the show that the guitarist, Dimitri, was leaving the band on good terms, but he was there for this show. The melodic Death Metal songs of Chariots of the Gods pleased people from the crowd and it was shaking up the place. The evening promises to be good.

Canceric continued the evening and made sure to keep the crowd active. The Death Trash Metal songs of the Montreal band are effective and catchy. The singer, William Pichette, encouraged the crowd to do mosh pit, but seemed disappointed that there were more girls than guys in these. Looks like the girls were more into it tonight. The two guitarists’ plays in a super unison and the bassist and the drummer ensure the frantic rhythms of the songs. William, on his part, relentlessly brutally pitches his songs and interacts a lot with the crowd. It was a very good intense and brutal show.

The evening continued with the Montreal band Dark Century. The crowd was already awake, but then it went very active. The group qualifies itself as Death Mosh Metal and I understand why. There was a constant mosh and it shaken solid. The singer's, Shayne O'Bryan, voice is just mind blowing. It's not that he has a beautiful voice; it's that he has an ultra-powerful voice and can throw a fat growl and an acute scream. And the lengths of his screams are breathtaking. The game of two guitarists, Martin Gendreau and Dominic Tremblay is excellent. The bass of Tommy Béliveau is very present and the drummer, Alexis Serré, rhythms are amazing. It was a breathtaking performance with mass violence. Everything you need to let off steam.

The last band of the evening Mass Murder Messiah, was launching their latest album, Born Again Apocalypse. There were many people present in this late night to listen to the Montreal's band brutal music. There was an even unusual spectator. Indeed, the new singer of the group, Alex Leblanc, is also a wrestler and he dragged his gang with him. I had not noticed their presence before the performance of the band, but once in the pit, they were hard to miss. We even had the right to wrestling moves during the moshs. This brought a different element to the usual brutal Death Metal show. It was good fun to see these big brutes move around. The new songs of Mass Murder Messiah, like those of the previous album, are intense and brutal as you wish. Alex brought a little more Death Metal color to the songs and I like it a lot. I still have a sore neck while writing this article. The technique and stage presence of the musicians of this band is superb. The two guitarists, Captain Jeff and Vince Watou B. Doiron, exhibit boundless agility. It is the same for the bass player, Bizier, and drummer, Sammoth, that provide fatty, fast, violent and groovy rhythmic to the songs. It was impossible to get bored during this show. All songs are catchy and the crowd was unleashed. It was an exceptional performance that the crowd will not soon forget. And wrestlers are always welcome!
